The invention relates to a brush holder for electrical machines in which
the brush rests only on one guide surface, but completely or on the other sides
is essentially exposed and with the exception of the one that pushes the brushes downward
Spring still a standing under the influence of a spring bracket is provided through which the
The brush is pressed against the guide surface ίο. Compared to the common box holders
the known holders of this type have the advantage of better cooling of the brush. Another advantage is
that the brushes do not get stuck due to the presence of coal dust. You can also use the same brush holder
after making minor modifications, use them for brushes of different dimensions, i.e. get by with far fewer components
as before. The disadvantages of the brush holder of the type identified exist
in the fact that changing the brush is very cumbersome for them and they are not
allow the commutator to be conveniently exposed for a short period of time without having to remove the brushes
Remove the holder completely. These still existing shortcomings are alleviated by the invention
eliminated, the essence of which is that i the bracket, which, under the force of a spring,
the brush presses against the guide surface, embraces the brush on its side surfaces and
leaves it free at the top so that he guides the brush sideways and it completely without loosening the bracket
or can be partially pulled out upwards.

The brush 1 rests on * a guide surface 2. To this guide surface that
is formed by one side of the plate 13 attached to the component 11, the
Carbon brush 1 pressed by a bracket, which is under the influence of spring forces
stands. The bracket is formed by two arms 14 and 15 which carry the roller 16.
The roller 16 presses the coal 1 against the guide surface 2, since the arms 14 and 15 around
the axis 17 are rotatable and the forces of the leaf springs 18 and 19 act on them. the
Arms 14 and 15 form lateral guides for the brush 1. There are stops on the plate 13
20 and 21 provided, which the downward movement of the 'arms 14 and
15 and the roller 16 formed bracket
limit ability. The free end of the coil spring 12, which is attached to the component Ii
is, presses against the connection plate 8 of the brush 1. Should the commutator temporarily
are exposed, the brush ι is pulled up. If you can do this
not completely removed, the roller 16 lies against the running surface of the brush 1
and holds the latter in a partially pulled-out position so that the commutator is exposed.
