Phenolen enthalten. Außerdem sind zur Bekämpfung von Pflanzenschädlingen bereits
Diphenole oder Dinaphthole zur Verwendung gekommen.Seed dressing agents It is already known that addition compounds of
Phenols, for example with amines or with quinones for pest control purposes
to use. Means have also already been used as a dry dressing against oat burn

Contain phenols. Also, to control plant pests are already
Diphenols or dinaphthols have come to be used.
Phenol und i Mol. Chinon oder auch
aus i Mol. Dioxybenzol und i Mol.
Dinaphthol und i Mol. Chinon zusammensetzen,
It has now been found that the above-mentioned products in their
Effectiveness is significantly exceeded by previously unknown compounds
-from ß-dinaphthols or their substitution products with quinones. While the
already known products either from 2 mol. Phenol and 1 mol. Quinone or also
consist of 1 mole of dioxybenzene and 1 mole of quinone are those of dinaphthols
characterized in that they are composed of i mol. dinaphthol and i mol. quinone,
the latter reacting with two OH groups, which are in different but with one another
connected cores sit. Such products are due to their poor solubility
particularly suitable for the purposes of dry dressing of seeds.

For example, with an agent which, in addition to inert substances, contains only 30% of such a compound of β-dinaphthol and benzoquinone, seeds can be dried in a concentration of 0.1 to 0.2%. This results in a complete destruction of the wheat stone brandy and other cereal diseases: The substances can be used in a mixture with other fungicides or with inert substances or with bodies that act as wetting agents or solvents.
