Description
The invention relates to a double axle arrangement, in particular for buses with Front wheel drive.
Die Besonderheiten der Anordnung ergeben für Omnibusse eine Reihe von Vorteilen:In the double-axle arrangement according to the invention, the two are close together Rear axles by high-mounted leaf springs and low-mounted guide frames or handlebars are articulated to the chassis in such a way that both wheel axles meet in the transverse direction of the car against each other while overcoming resilient resistances can move. The special features of the arrangement result for buses a number of advantages:
i. Even in buses with an upper deck, the high-mounted springs do this resilient support of the car body in considerable proximity to the center of gravity, so that the dangerous hanging of the car body with uneven loading and in curves is avoided. Of the Disadvantage of raised springs with one-sided wheel joints and large spring deflections, that not only the tire resting against the obstacle with significantly increased impact pressure, but also the counter-tire of the the same axis is heavily pushed off laterally or has to slide, is omitted by the basic Arrangement that the raised resilient support points can migrate laterally with displacement of the opposite axis. It is assumed that it is not by chance that two tires, one behind the other, hit an obstacle at the same time, and is based on the results with oscillating axes or split axis and due to the results of the normal double ornnibus rear axle to be observed, that tires running on a smooth track roll over sideways during shifts and not slide over.
2. Beim seitlichen Schleudern, z. When spinning to the side, z. B. against a curb, have to double at normal Rear axle assembly absorbed the shocks from one axle and only from one spring arm each be, whereby the large lever moment of the spring arm for the spring clip attachment is particularly unfavorable. In the Arrangement according to the invention gives way to the abutting axis until the opposite axis has also come to the plant, and is a large part of the spin moment already caught elastically.
3. The swinging, triangular push frame on both axles to accommodate the braking torques also serve to guide the axes horizontally and vertically and lateral direction. The overall arrangement also contributes to the variable chord length of the springs in full Way without the usual concessions in one direction or the other.
The lateral flexibility of the rear axle facilitates the steering angle and reduces it the friction work of the rear tires
Fahrbahn durch Hindernisse ©der scharfe Steine auftreten.in the curve, especially when increased resistances; the. Road through obstacles © the sharp stones appear.
On, which is essential for the cornering stability borrowed and a leaf spring quite beneficial twist resistance waives the Arrangement not in contrast to the usual sliding support of the spring ends.
The axes are firmly connected to the vertical arms; in the middle of everyone Axis is a ball or universal joint. The friction work of all joints moves in the smallest of dimensions as a result of the smallest angular deflections. 7. In conjunction with front-wheel drive, the arrangement enables the car body to be built 40 cm lower and therefore also the To put the center of gravity so much lower.
Figs. 1 and 2 represent such a rear double axle arrangement for buses and the suspension springs 17 and 18 are on the fittings 1 and 2 of the car body stored in the double joints 19 and 22. The axes 3 and 4 with the permanently connected vertical arms 5, 6, 7 and 8 and those mounted on the wheel journals 9, 10, 11 and 12 Wheels 13, 14, 15 and 16 are with the Car body on the one hand by the suspension springs by means of the double joints 20, 23 and 2i, 24 on the other hand by the triangular ones Push frames 29 and 30 connected by means of universal joints 25 and 26.
The push frames swing around the joints 39, 40 and can also open the shafts 31, 32 move under actuation of the compression springs 37, 38 and 35, 36, the are supported against the shaft collars 33, 34. The connecting bolts 27, 28 in the shoe frame are also rotatably mounted. Instead of the push frame 29, 30 with their support springs 35-38, you can of course Use a pair of push rods with ball connections for each axis. The support springs 35-38 would then be best replaced by a leaf spring, which are firmly connected to the vertical pivot pins 19 of the main suspension springs 17 and 18 were. These leaf springs should have their free ends against the car body support and would then rotate the pins 19 or the springs 17 and 18 oppose their resilient resistance.
