Eine solche Stopfbüchse ist aber zur Abdichtung ίο von Bewegungsmechanismen, z. B. bei Regelorganen, wegen zu großer Reibung und damit verursachter Bewegungswiderstände ungeeignet. Um nun die Reibungswiderstände möglichst gering zu halten, hat man den Packungsraum auch schon durch quer zur Dichtfläche angeordnete Scheidewände in ringförmige Einzelkammern unterteilt und in die Kammern einzelne Dichtringe eingebracht.
