Die Bogenstücke werden bei der Herstellung für den geschlossenen Streckenausbau zweckmäßig an beiden Enden umgebogen, während sie bei der Herstellung zur Verwendung als Stützen beim Polygonausbau vorteilhaft nur an einem Ende eine derartige Pfanne zur Aufnahme eines Quetschholzes erhalten.
