Description
Beacons are known with a parabolic one in the middle of a light source Mirror is arranged, the emanating from the light source, downward Intercepts rays and reflects in a vertical direction. Above the light source special reflectors are again attached, which the reflecting light again reflect and diffuse all around into the room. But this is where the rays of light come from not in full force for exploitation. According to the present invention, beacons, such as those used in particular for aviation facilities Find use, the direct broadcast below the horizontal Lamp light intercepted and immediately usable for radiation in another direction made. For this purpose, one or more trough-shaped ones are in the housing of the beacon Arranged parabolic mirrors formed diaphragms through which a light band is generated which can be used in particular to indicate the landing direction and runway to pilots at night. Included the arrangement can be made so that the reflected light band opposite the The horizontal is directed a little upwards and thus windows and windows are about lower Can not reach apartments or the ground of the airfield. This becomes a nuisance from residents of airfields and a glare of the pilot from the Avoid brightly lit ground when landing or taking off. On the other hand, that will Light beamed partly vertically upwards against the clouds, so that the pilot can recognize the directional light from a long distance. Preferably, the diaphragms are arranged so that their Pass focal lines through the light source. The panels themselves can be moved designed so that they are approached or removed from the light source, depending on the radiation desired can.
The invention is shown schematically in the drawing in one embodiment Representation brought.

Die Brennpunktlinien bei-It denotes 1 the housing of the fire, in which a concave mirror 3 is attached, in the focal point of which is the light source 2. 4 and S are two in the case arranged, preferably designed as trough-shaped parabolic mirrors, which serve to intercept the downward emitted light from the light source 2 and to make the radiation of the fire usable in one direction. The focal lines at

For example, the light beam 6 hitting the mirror 5 at the point of the smallest radius of curvature is reflected according to its angle of incidence to 6 ', the other boundary beams 7 and 8 to 7' and 8 '. The beam 11 emanating from the light source hits the periphery of the housing and is emitted directly without reflection. The border beam 7, 7 'striking the diaphragm 5 forms the lower limit and the light beam 11 the upper limit of the band-like light strip. As can be seen from the drawing, that a light stripe is formed of approximately 90 0 in the angle which is opposite to the longitudinal axis of the luminous body is inclined by a small distance upward.
In addition to airfield lights, the invention can also be used for those set up on coasts Beacons and similar warning or direction indicators are made usable.
