Gemäß der Erfindung wird das als Bindemittel benutzte kolloide Thoriumoxvd in Form eines Mineralleims verwendet, der durch geeignete Behandlung aus Thoriumsalzen gewonnen wird. Die Anwendung von kolloidem Thoriumox_vd in Form eines Mineralleims bietet den Vorteil, daß die mit diesem Mineralleim hergestellten Gegenstände sich durch erhöhte Feuerbeständigkeit auszeichnen und die Körper usw., die mit Hilfe des vorher erwähnten, bereits früher vorgeschlagenen Mineralleims hergestellt sind, bezüglich Feuerfestigkeit bei weitem übertreffen.
