Am oberen Ende der Laufverlängerung f ist dagegen eine vorteilhaft hakenförmige Nase k vorgesehen, die in einen Schlitz m an dem in bekannter Weise zwecks Bildung eines Anschlages für den Schuh aufgebogenen vorderen Ende η der Sohlenplatte c eingreift. Die Nase k stützt einerseits die Schiene f nach oben ab, anderseits gibt sie dem oberen Ende der Schiene an den Rändern des Schlitzes in eine seitliche Führung, so daß die Verlängerungsschiene vollkommen feststeht. Beim Anbringen der Verlängerung f am Schlittschuh wird zunächst die Nase k in den Schlitz m des Anschlages η eingehängt. Hierauf werden die beiden Klemmbacken g von vorn her auf den Lauf α aufgeschoben, worauf die Spannschraube h in die Löcher der Klemmbacken g eingeführt wird. Nachdem dann schließlich durch Anziehen der Spannschraube h die Backen g am vorderen Laufende fest angepreßt sind, ist die Verlängerung f unverrückbar gehalten. So könnte an Stelle der Mutterschraube h eine einfache Kopfschraube verwendet werden, die in eine Mutterbohrung eines der beiden Klemmbackeng eingeschraubt wird. Ferner könnte bei solchen Schlittschuhen, die keinen Anschlag am vorderen Ende der Sohlenplatte c besitzen, die in einen Schlitz des Anschlages η eingreifende Nase k dadurch ersetzt werden, daß das obere Ende der Verlängerungsschiene f unmittelbar in einem Schlitze der Sohlenplatte b geführt ist, wobei sie sich mit einer entsprechenden Ausschnittkante von unten gegen die Sohlenplatte stützt. Ferner könnte der Schlittschuhlauf« am vorderen Ende oberhalb der Spitze einen Ausschnitt besitzen, in welchen eine zwischen den beiden Klemmbacken g vorgesehene Nase der Schiene f so eingreift, daß dadurch die Laufverlängerung nach oben abgestützt ist. In diesem Falle könnte auf die Abstützung und Führung der Verlängerung an der Sohlenplatte verzichtet werden, und es könnte das aufgebogene Ende der Verlängerungsschiene f frei stehen. Die dargestellte Anordnung ist jedoch wegen der größeren Stabilität vorzuziehen.
