bestimmend.Manufacture of an adhesive for bronze colors When bronze printing is
it is of very great importance to use an adhesive that the bronze cannot
attacks and protects them from oxidation and other changes. Also are
certain difficulties with embossing (sticking of the metal stamp and smearing
the same, also the flaking of the bronze, etc.) for the properties of a bronze adhesive
determining.
zuzusetzen. Ausführungsbeispiel 7 5 kg eines geeigneten Dextrins werden mit
25 kg Traubenzucker unter Rühren in i oo 1 Wasser eingetragen.
Natrium, in Wasser ,gelöst, zugegeben. Alsdann erfolgt der Zusatz einer Emulsion,
bestehend aus i kg Rizinusöl, i kg Wasser, o,5 kg Kalilauge q.o° Be.It has been found that such an adhesive can be produced by partial fermentation with yeast from: a mixture of dextrn and glucose if, after incomplete fermentation, hydrogen peroxide or sodium piercing oxide and borax are added. It has also been found that the adhesive can only be bleached with the oxidizing agent in the absence of the disinfectant required for preservation. After completion of the adhesive, an aqueous emulsion of castor oil is added and the mass is intimately mixed, whereupon an addition of sodium benzoate, for example, is added to preserve it add a small percentage of caustic soda to fermentation. The adhesive produced according to this process prevents the bronze from oxidizing in the air and is stable over very long periods of storage, even when it is transported overseas. It is known per se to partially ferment the raw materials in the production of dextrin glue. It is also known to use hydrogen peroxide and borax for bleaching adhesives. It is also known to add yeast to adhesives. Embodiment 7 5 kg of a suitable dextrin are added with 25 kg of grape sugar to 100 l of water with stirring. After some stirring, the mixture is heated to 80 to 85 ° C., kept at this temperature for about 1/2 hour and then aoo g of yeast is added. The mixture is then cooled down to 2q. ° C as quickly as possible. At this temperature, 1 kg of 3% hydrogen peroxide or 1 kg of sodium peroxide are dissolved in 10 kg of water, and after a while 3 kg of borax, dissolved in 3 kg of water, are added with stirring. The mass is now left to stand still for 1z to 16 hours. The mass is then skimmed off and 1 kg of 36'B6 sodium hydroxide solution is added. 50 g of sodium benzoate dissolved in water are added as a preservative. An emulsion is then added, consisting of 1 kg of castor oil, 1 kg of water, 0.5 kg of potassium hydroxide solution qo ° Be.
