Description

Vorrichtung zum Säubern von Zuckerrohr Beim Ernten von Zuckerrohr ist es von besonders großer Wichtigkeit, den Abfall (Blätter, Spitzen o. dgl.) von dem Zuckerrohr wirkungsvoll abzuscheiden, ehe dieses der Extraktion des Saftes unterworfen wird. Bisher geschah dies in der Weise, daß, von den langen Halmen zunächst die Spitzen und dann die Blätter o. dgl. entfernt wurden, worauf dann das Zuckerrohr in Längen geschnitten und weiter bearbeitet wurde. Dieses Verfahren ist recht langwierig. Der Erfinder hat daher vorgeschlagen, ohne Rücksicht auf die Blätter und Spitzen o. dgl. das Zuckerrohr zu zerstückeln und in dem zerstückelten Zustand dann das Säubern vorzunehmen. Es geschieht dies in der Vorrichtung nach der Erfindung in der Weise, daß das zerstückelte Rohr in einen Wasserbehälter abgeworfen wird und durch ein endloses, bis zum Boden reichendes Förderband die schweren, zu Boden sinkenden, guten Zuckerrohre aus dem Wasser herausbefördert werden, während ein zweites endloses Förderband, welches nur um ein geringes in die Flüssigkeit eintaucht, die leichten, oben schwimmenden Abfallteile erfaßt und entfernt. Der Wasserbehälter steht mit einer Pumpe in Verbindung, deren Druckrohr seitlich durchlocht ist und gegenüber dem Förderbande für die Abfallteile sich erstreckt. Dieses Verteilungsrohr reicht nur so weit in die Flüssigkeit, daß die schwimtuenden @ Abfallteile nach dem Förderbande hin getrieben werden. Der Wasserbehälter kann so rinnen- oder ringartig gestaltet sein, daß die Flüssigkeit in einem Kreislauf sich bewegen kann, wobei vor dem für das leichte Gut vorgesehenen Förderband ein Schöpfarm sich befindet, während das Förderband für das schwere Gut in einiger Entfernung hinter dem Förderband für die Abfallteile angeordnet ist. Beide Förderbänder erstrecken sich in ihrer Breite über die ganze Weite des rinnen- öder ringartigen Behälters.
