Sack closure Known is a sack closure in which a seam goes through
a closure strip covering the edges of the bag walls, the bag walls and
an additional sealant is placed in the form of a sewn-on cord.
In contrast, according to the invention. as a sealant strips of dense
Tissue can be inserted between the sack walls and the closure strips. A strip of fabric
from dense fabric is in itself more advantageous for the purpose pursued than the previously known
Sealing cord because it does the intended filtration in a much more effective way
causes the air to pass through from the inside of the sack to the outside. Above all, offers
the use of such a strip allows the sealant under
to place the overarching closure strip, i.e. between this and the bag wall,
which is not possible with the cord, as this is a smooth fit of the closure strip
would prevent on the bag wall, so that the free edge of the bag wall loose
would stick out. This would easily tear the overlapping edge.
«If one were to prevent this, one would have to, as is the case with the well-known bag closure
has also been proposed to extend the fastener strip considerably and that
Glue on the free end. But the clasp would always have an unsightly appearance
Be a consequence. Except in the use of a sealing strip made of particularly dense
Fabric is a significant advance in the subject matter of the invention in that this
Sealing strip is placed between the bag walls and the closure strip.
In the case of the fabric strip, this does not have the unfavorable consequence that, as shown above,
with a cord would have. This strip of fabric lies smoothly between the
Fastener strip and the bag wall and allows the fastener strip to become smooth
to be placed on the sack wall so that the closure strip does not tear
is feared. - It goes without saying that the close-meshed strips of fabric are used for sealing
Significantly better than with the cord lying loosely on top, which is only at intervals
is sharply depressed on the strip and straight in the places where the danger
the escape of dust with the air is also pierced by the needle
is. Although this is also the case with a fabric strip, it includes between
the sack wall and the raid strip under a certain pressure
and dense tissue significantly better the point of passage of the needle; after leaving
of the needle, the threads of the tissue cover this point.
Compared to the opposite arrangement, it differs
as above
mentioned the subject matter of the invention, apart from
using a strip of fabric. In its special position within the bag closure
the fabric strip still has the particular advantage over the sewn-on cord,
that, while the cord protruding from the wall of the bag, is very easily damaged,
can be worn through and torn off, is completely protected against this. Even
If the sutures are pulled sharply, the fabric of the sealing strip could penetrate
cut the thread if it were outside the fastener strip.
Against this, it is protected by its special position according to the invention.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing
shown; Fig. i and 2 show the upper closed part of the sack of FIG
the needle entry side and in section 2'-2 'of Fig. z, Fig. 3 from the back.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, there is a sack i with side walls
ia and ib shown. Over the edge of the side walls ia, ib is a strip of fabric
2 folded. Another strip of fabric 3 is along the outside of the side wall
ia and a similar strip of fabric 3 'arranged along the outside of the side wall = b.
These strips of fabric 3 and 3 'are made of densely woven fabric of a soft structure.
The strips are inserted in such a way that the row of stitches starting at q. is shown by
the closure strip and the insert strips 3 and 3 'passes through. The closure seam
preferably comprises a needle thread which is looped through the needle,
where they the closure strip and the bag walls and also the strips 3 and 3 '
penetrates. The needle thread loops are formed by in the looper thread
Loops attached. There may be other types of stitches when sealing the
Sack opening can be used.
The essential feature of the bag closure according to the invention are
the fabric strips 3 and 3 ', which are so arranged within the fastener strip 2
are that they are thereby covered and at the same time against the .Seite walls of the sack
caught by the stitches. The fabric of these strips pulls itself around the
Needle thread together when the needle is withdrawn, closing the needle holes
completely, so that no good can escape from the sack. The ones in the sack, for example
Any air present can still seep through the strips. These strips
also serve as a means to reinforce the material at the locking point because
the stitches go through them. They also support the firm anchoring
of the stitches and prevent them from going through the fastening strips and the side walls
of the sack. By inserting this strip, it becomes a very firm one
Closure for bags achieved, namely one that prevents any escape of dusty
Well prevented from getting out of the sack. The sack can of course also consist of other material
as paper.
