Die Verkleidung w kann aus Asbest oder Fasern oder beiden gemeinsam bestehen, die durch den elektrolytischen Prozeß nicht angegriffen wenden; sie muß so widerstandsfähig sein, daß sie der Scheuerwirkung durch das Anodenmaterial standhält, Sie wird mit Graphit imprägniert, um einen wirksamen elektrischen Kontakt zu bilden.
