Fig. 1 zeigt die z.

Fig. 1 shows the z. B. applicable to a spot welding machine electrodes. The two electrodes 1, 2 are provided with contact-forming parts 3, 4 which according to the invention are made of porous metal or the like. The parts 3, 4 form hollow bodies of suitable shape and are releasably connected to the electrodes 1 and 2, e.g. B. screwed. The electrodes 1, 2 are also hollow or provided with channels 5 and 6, respectively, into which the switching or extinguishing fluid is fed by means of the line 7 and 8, respectively. The liquid is introduced into the hollow contact parts 3, 4 and exits through their pores onto the contact surface. By filling these cavities, the porous contact part is quickly soaked with liquid.

Fig. 2 shows an electrode 9 which forms a cavity 10 at the end, which is formed by a porous z. B. fixed by soldering contact part 11 is completed. The contact part does not need to be hollow here, but can, as shown, form a plate or the like. The supply line of the

crusher. 13 is a fixed contact and 14 is a movable screw contact arranged on a breaker spring 15. Both contacts have a releasably attached cap-like, contact-forming, porous part 15 or 16 at the ends. B. to the fixed contact part 15 alone, u. between the channel 17 of the contact 13.

   PATENT PROVISIONS:
1. Electrodes, contacts or their contact-forming parts for welding machines, interrupter devices, surge generators, collectors or the like with the exclusion of electrical switches, characterized in that they consist of porous metals, metal alloys or metal compounds and are or are soaked with switching or extinguishing fluid before and during the separation of the electrodes or the like.
