Diese Gleichstromspitzen kann man nun erfindungsgemäß dadurch zur selbsttätigen Anzeige von Geschwindigkeitsüberschreitungen benutzen, daß in den Primärkreis eine Spule eingebaut wird, welche ein Zitterrelais oder eine auf eine bestimmte sekundliche Zahl von Stromimpulsen ansprechende (Frequenz abhängige) Anzeigevorrichtung beeinflußt. Dieses Zitterrelais besteht z. B. aus einer oder aus mehreren Zungen, die den verschiedenen Geschwindigkeiten entsprechend abgestimmt sind und an einem Ende einen Kontakt tragen. Diejenige Zunge, deren Eigenschwingung nun der Frequenz des zerhackten Gleichstromes entspricht, kommt in starke Schwingungen und schließt dabei periodisch einen Kontakt. Bei jeder Kontaktgabe wird der Stromkreis einer besonderen Signalvorrichtung geschlossen, die so am Fahrzeug anzubringen ist, daß ihre Beobachtung von jeder Stelle außerhalb des Fahrzeuges möglich ist. Je nach der Abstimmung des Zitterrelais befindet sich also die Signalvorrichtung bei Überschreiten oder beim Unterschreiten der zulässigen Höchstgeschwindigkeit in Tätigkeit.When the coil is ignited, it is known that a direct current flows in the primary circuit, which is opened and closed by a mechanical breaker.
