covered particles of a magnetizable metal, in particular from Permalloy Die
The invention relates to a method for producing mass cores, in particular for
Load coils for communication lines.
It is known, the magnetic material of mass cores with a
to provide insulating oxide coating. It has already been proposed for this purpose
have been to mix highly oxygenated bodies with the magnetic material and
-to split off the oxygen by heating, so that it merges with the magnetic
Material, which preferably consists of Permalloy, connects to form an oxide coating.
This dry process has the disadvantage that the evolution of oxygen
and consequently the formation of oxide coatings on the metal particles only in places
is going on because, with regard to the density of the nucleus, only a proportionately
small percentage of oxygen-rich material such as iron or iron alloy
can be added. It is also known, the magnetic particles of mass nuclei
to be coated with oxide in such a way that the powder is mixed with water and
heated the mixture with the admission of air. This procedure takes a long time
and does not give sufficient assurance that all magnetic powder particles
are covered with a sufficiently resistant layer of oxide.
Wismut, Cadmium, Chrom, Kobalt, Kupfer, Eisen, Blei, Magnesium, Mangan, Nickel,
The invention avoids these shortcomings: it consists in the fact that in the
Manufacture of a mass core from particles covered with an oxide layer
magnetizable metal, in particular made of Permalloy, the oxide layer by heating
the aqueous solution of an oxygen mixed with the oxidized metal powder
releasing substance is generated. Are particularly suitable for the new process
as oxygen-releasing substances, the nitrates of metals, such as. B. nitrates of mercury, aluminum, barium,
Bismuth, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, magnesium, manganese, nickel,
Silver, zinc and the like and the metal-like ammonium. The formation of these nitrates
can also be done in such a way that, especially when it comes to permalloy powder
acts, an aqueous solution of nitric acid is added, whereby iron
and form nickel nitrates.
in Pulver gewünschter
Pressen verlorengegangenen magnetischen Eigenschaften erfolgt. The new procedure can be practiced in the following ways: After
the magnetic material, which is made of pure iron or a nickel-iron alloy
(Permalloy) can exist in the usual way
in powder more desired
When the grain size has been changed, it becomes mercury nitrate in aqueous solution
added. Particularly favorable results have been shown when using the nitrate solution

stirred and dried with constant stirring by heating. Shortly after
The powder has become dry, the nitrogen oxides, which can be seen through, escape

further dried. The length of the time depends on the desired quality of the insulation coating,
the temperature at which the powder is heated and the characteristics desired

der Art des verwendeten Nitrates ab.The chemical process can be imagined in such a way that when using mercury nitrate (Hg NO.,), For example, nitrates are initially formed with the magnetic material, i.e. iron and nickel nitrates and mercury. With further heating, the iron or nickel nitrate splits by migrating over the oxygen parts into oxygen compounds and nitrous gases, which, like the previously formed mercury, completely or partially escape into the air. The amount of nitrous constituents that cannot escape, as well as the amount of mercury, depends on the duration and level of heating as well as on the choice of starting materials. As can be seen from this, one has the possibility of obtaining pure coatings from oxides of the magnetic material or from those mixed with the metal of the nitrate used by choosing appropriate starting nitrates. Furthermore, as explained above, some of the nitrogen-oxygen compounds can also remain and form nitrates as an insulating coating on the particles. The specified weight ratios of about 5 % are not decisive, but depend on the type of nitrate used.
