Die Ansätze 13 sind so lang, daß die Haken 13" über die Arme S^a hinausragen und dadurch die Scheibe oder der Aufsatz allseitig frei kippbar ist und sich dem Boden auch bei Unebenheiten gut anpaßt. Der Bürstenringkörper wird dann bei Auflage des Sandpapiers auf dem Fußboden in Drehung versetzt. Zwecks Wachsens und Polierens kann das Sandpapier durch grobe Leinwand o. dgl. ersetzt werden, zwischen deren Schichten Bohnerwachs o. dgl. angebracht wird. Die Leinwand wird an der Platte 12 ebenso wie das Sandpapier befestigt. Beim Drehen des Bürstenringkörpers mit der Auflage schwitzt das Wachs durch die Leinwand und wird gleichmäßig auf den Fußboden aufgebracht, was durch die Reibungswärme unterstützt wird. Dann wird der Aufsatz mit der Leinwand vom Bürstenringkörper durch entsprechende Drehung des Aufsatzes, welche die Haken 13° von den Armen ζ^α frei macht, und Abwärtsverschiebung der Ansätze 13 durch die Schlitze 6 abgenommen.
