Device for connecting measuring devices in cable distribution systems
In the main patent 5o6 297 is a device for connecting measuring devices in cable distribution systems
become known in connection with a carrying a security strip
removable handpiece of known type a second handpiece is used,
on which a shunt of known size and a connection line to the ammeter are attached
is. This additional handpiece grips with resilient clamps over the fixed contact pieces
and is pressed against the first-mentioned handpiece to take measurements,
that it moves the latter from the power contacts to normally closed contacts. This facility
has proven itself very well for cable ducts; because here the pushing movement of
is done from top to bottom or vice versa, the worker does not have any difficulties
the relatively high frictional resistance that occurs when the handpieces are moved
results to overcome. However, when it comes to cable distribution systems, their
Contacts are attached to vertically standing plates, so makes the movement
the handpieces are difficult because they are usually at chest or head height
of the person operating and, as a result, the attack is unfavorable for the strength
is. The invention now relates to a device for connecting measuring devices
for cable distribution systems, which insofar require further training of the facility
represents according to the main patent, as here a rotary movement in place of the thrust movement
for the handpiece to be attached, which is also the case with a very high
Handpiece can be made effortlessly. All you have to do here is make a contact
to bring the handpiece to be placed into engagement with a fixed clamp,
the contact engaging via a pivot pin. That can be said about the latter
swivel the handpiece with a suitably shaped handle downwards,
and it comes with the second handpiece that remains permanently in the system
engages and pushes it onto the normally closed contacts without any noticeable effort.
In the drawing, the measuring device is in one embodiment, for example
shown. Fig. I is a side view, partly in section, and Fig. 2 shows
a cross-section along the line A-B of Fig. i.
As with the establishment according to the main patent, there are permanent contacts a. and h, but there is only a break contact c behind the contact b, while a slot guide d is provided in contact a for the pivot f fastened in the handpiece e. The contact springs g of the handpiece h lie here on the inner surfaces of the contacts a, thereby overlapping the pivot f. The springs on the other side also reach into the contacts b from the inside. From Fig. I it can be seen that the handpiece 1a lies with its full surface on the handpiece e and that here a resilient snap i, the design of which can of course be chosen as desired, comes into engagement with the web k of the handpiece e. In the position according to Fig. I, the handpiece .e is switched off and the current is passed through the shunt of the handpiece h. It is obvious that the execution of the rotary movement for the two handpieces c and 1c around the pin f requires much less force than the adjustment of the handpieces by pure pushing movement. The operation of the handpiece h is also made easier by the fact that it has fine, fixed guidance on your pin. To make it easier for the person using the measuring device to read the measured current, the ammeter l is attached to the insulating cover plate of the handpiece k, and the current is fed to it through wires n connected to the clamping screws.
