Device for bringing about an intensive mixture of gas and
Air, in particular for heating flues in furnaces for the production of gas and coke
Combustion of low-heating gases, especially if the
Gas and the combustion air, there is less in the lower part of the heating flues
Temperature than in the higher parts. To also the lower parts of the heating flues in
In this case, heating up sufficiently is a particularly intimate mixture of the combustion media
necessary when entering the heating flue. The invention relates to a device
to induce an intense mixture of gas and air while this is out
parallel feed lines enter a heating flue. Their mode of action exists
in that each of the two supply lines is divided into two channels by a partition,
One gas channel and one air channel each are brought together and arranged accordingly
Steering plates the combustion media brought together on both sides of the partition
on the one hand in that of the gas supply line, on the other hand in that of the air supply line
the facing part of the heating flue. The steering plates initially cause a
Mixing of gas and air on both sides of the partition; through the exit
this mixture in opposite parts of the heating flue is also a circular one
Movement of the combustion media during the ascent in the heating flue and thus a
causes particularly intensive mixing and early combustion. The inventive
Mixing device is particularly in place where, as with the recuperative heating system,
insufficient preheating of the combustion media takes place. When the parallel
Gas and air supply lines to the heating flue are only separated from one another by a thin wall,
so the mixing device according to the invention can expediently consist of a single to 180 °
symmetrical nozzle stone, the central wall of which is trapezoidal and the gas
and forms a partition dividing air supply lines and on both sides
Steering plates and possibly approaches are arranged that the gas and air supply lines
still partially separate.

il, i. besteht.
The figures show the application of the device according to the invention in a recuperative heating system, specifically in the last-mentioned version, in which it consists of a single nozzle block. The recuperators b for air and c for gas, separated by the wall d, open into the heating flue a. The nozzle block e is placed on the partition wall d and consists of a central partition wall f, projections g1 and g2 corresponding to the wall d , and also of guide plates hl, h2 and il, i. consists. As can be seen in particular from Fig. 2, which shows the stone seen from above, on the side of Fig. I facing the viewer, the gas-air mixture formed is directed over to the left side of the plane of the drawing, ie into the part facing the gas recuperator of the heating flue a, instead of. Correspondingly, on the side of Fig. I facing away from the viewer, the gas-air mixture is directed into the right part of the heating flue, ie that part of the heating flue facing the air recuperator.
