in Verbindung stehen.
Air duct for mechanical roasting ovens with air-cooled stirrer known
are mechanical roasting ovens, which - in several, horizontally one above the other,
fixed roasting chambers, which alternate through in the middle and on
outer circumference of the individual roasting chimneys arranged diarrhea openings with one another
stay in contact. There are mechanical agitators in the roasting chambers
which the ore fed to the uppermost roasting chamber according to the position of the incidence
and discharge openings of the individual roasting chambers alternately from the inside to the outside
and is transported from the outside to the inside and the roasting oven from the top to the top
wandered through below. Since the roasting process is exothermic in nature, the
Roasting releases considerable amounts of heat. The roasting process does not run evenly,
but soon after the roasted material has been fed into the roasting chambers, the main desulphurisation takes place,
at which a very considerable amount of heat is released, so that in the zones of the main desulfurization
easy heating of the roasted material occurs, which increases the risk of sintering
and ferrite formation. The vaults of the roasting chambers also suffer greatly from the
high heating. You are therefore already on by blowing in fresh cooling air
suitable places of the zones of highest temperature formation of the furnace a cooling of the
Roasted food and the roasted air brought about. During the main desulfurization
subsequent desulfurization, the roasting process is considerably slower
and with significantly less heat generation. A cooling of the zones of the desulphurisation
is therefore not required. You are even required during this phase of the roasting process
Add heat, mainly by installing a fire muffle below the
lowest roasting chamber happens. Furthermore you have the missing heat of the desulphurisation
tried to replace it. That is what is usually fed to the furnace in the removal shaft
Heated fresh air before entering. One often has one for this purpose
Fresh air used. which have been used to cool air-cooled agitators.
This cooling air is usually supplied to the agitator arms through the inner tube of a double hollow shaft
fed, by which the agitator arms are carried, while that from the agitator arms
back-flowing heated cooling air through the jacket cavity between the inner
Air supply pipe and the outer jacket pipe of the double hollow shaft to the removal shaft
of the furnace is performed as primary air. It has now been shown that these mostly
The type of air duct used is not appropriate because it is your
As the roasting process progresses, the temperatures in the individual roasting chambers
exist, differ significantly from each other. For example, the paddle arms
those roasting chambers which form the zones of highest temperature formation,
cooled much more intensely
than the stirring arms of the lower
the post-desulphurisation roasting chambers. It may even be necessary
here to throttle the air cooling more or less or to stop it completely.
steht. The object of the invention is to show the way in which the
known air ducts avoid existing disadvantages «-erden and the air duct
can be designed so that the roasting process of the roasted material continues
can not be hindered, but intensified and promoted. The new air duct
can be applied to any furnace with an air-cooled agitator. The one in the central hollow shaft
The cooling air supplied to the agitator is basically divided into two partial flows,
which, after leaving the agitator, are fed to your oven at two different points
will. A part of the cooling air occurs accordingly after flowing through the agitator arms
the uppermost roasting chambers, in which the highest temperature takes place,
into the jacket cavity of the central hollow shaft consisting of two concentric tubes
and is from there at a suitable point, specifically at the inside change
the second roasting chamber, blown onto the falling and slipping roasted material,
uin the same as well as the Röstkainmergewölbe to cool and thereby the overheating
of the roasted food and its negative consequences. The rest of the cooling air
wanders through the lower Röstkarninern, either in a split stream at the same time
each roasting chamber or the lower roasting chambers one after the other in a single stream.
The cooling air that has become hot is then used as primary air for the furnace at a more suitable location
Place, for example your removal shaft, supplied. This type of air flow
is extremely useful for the operation of such a roasting oven, because it makes
for the main reaction, the roasted material has a sufficient amount of relatively cool air,
for the final roast, however, a corresponding amount of hot air is also available
stands.
The object of the invention is shown in the drawing in two exemplary embodiments,
namely in a schematic representation, illustrated, namely Fig. i shows a
Embodiment of the new air duct for an oven with four roasting chambers, in which
the cooling air flowing through the lower roasting chambers at the same time in parallel
guided currents flows through it, Fig.a another embodiment of the new air duct,
in which the cooling air blows the two lower roasters in an undivided stream
flows through. As can be seen, the middle double hollow shaft consists of an inner one
the air supply serving tubes r and an outer. concentrically surrounding the tube r
Casing tube 2, so that an annular air cavity 3 is formed between the two tubes.
The stirring arms d, on which the stirring teeth are located, are activated by the cooling air

inflated into the toasted material that falls loosely here and slips down, causing
the same and the brickwork of the roasting chamber intensively cooled and the disadvantageous
Consequences of overheating can be avoided. The feed pipe i is at the lower end
closed by the bottom and has between the second and third roasting chamber
the throttle valve ok. The agitators of the lower roasting chambers are just like the
Agitators of the upper roasting chambers connected to the central hollow shaft that the
Air is fed into both agitators at the same time, while the backflow
Hot air into the jacket cavity 3 of the central hollow shaft and from there into the removal shaft
of the furnace flows to be used here as primary air. The second in Fig.
a shown embodiment of the furnace differs from that shown in Fig. i
Embodiment only in that the middle air supply pipe i below the
third Röstkarniner closed off by a "partition" at the lower end
but is open. In contrast, the jacket cavity 3 is through at the lower end of the furnace
the bottom 1z closed. While the air flow through the two upper agitators
goes on in the same way. as in the embodiment according to Fig. i, the
Air flow through the lower agitators changed here in such a way that the
Supply pipe i the central hollow shaft supplied fresh air first the agitator
flows through the third roasting chamber and then in an undivided flow through the agitator
the fourth roasting chamber and from there into the inner tube i the: central hollow shaft
flows and is fed from there to the removal shaft of the furnace.
There
in this case the fresh air which is fed to the removal shaft, the air works
the lower roasting chambers flows through in an undivided stream in contrast to the parallel flow
the fresh air as shown in Fig. r, the cooling air is warmed up more and
thus enters the roasting furnace in a hotter condition, so that in this l, 'all the
1. 'temperature of the roasted product included in the: \ achent-: chw-efelung stronger nvä

io, which in both embodiments of the air duct below the second roasting chamber
ini inner air supply roller i is attached, serves to control the amount of in
regulate the cooling air flowing through the lower agitators according to your needs and
if necessary, shut off completely. This may be necessary in cases like this
ini operations of the furnace the temperatures of the zones of the desulphurisation too high
should have fallen in order to avoid a further decrease in temperature.
