KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. PATENTSCHRIFT KLASSE 82: Trockenvorrichtungen. Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom l. Juni 1889 ab. Der zum Trocknen von Heu, Halmfrüchten, Wolle und ähnlichem Material bestimmte Apparat ist auf der Zeichnung in Fig. 1 in der Seitenansicht, in Fig. 2 im senkrechten Schnitt nach I-II (Fig. 1) dargestellt. Der Trockenkasten A ist auf seinem Umfang mit Löchern oder Durchbrechungen versehen und enthält zwei Trommeln B und B1, welche in der nämlichen, durch Pfeile angedeuteten Richtung in Drehung versetzt werden. Auf dem Mantel der Trommeln BB1 sind in der Richtung der Erzeugenden Latten von dreieckigem oder hakenförmigem Querschnitt oder auch Haken angebracht, welche das durch die Oeffhung α des Kastens A eintretende Material ergreifen und fortschieben. Bevor man den Trockenkasten, dem durch das in die Verzweigungen d d endende Rohr D heifse Luft zuströmt, beschickt, stellt man zwei an den Rand der Oeffnung α drehbar befestigte rechenartige Klappen cc1 so ein, wie sie in der Fig. 1 gezeichnet sind. Ueber die Klappe c hinweg schiebt man das Material zur Trommel B, die es bei ihrer Drehung mitnimmt. Bei letzterer gelangt das Material an eine zwischen beiden Trommeln sich erstreckende Scheidewand C des Trockenkastens, staut sich an dieser und wird schliefslich von der Trommel B1 erfafst. Diese erfafst stets zunächst die äufseren, bis dahin an dem inneren Umfang des Kastens A fortbewegten Schichten, so dafs ein Wenden des Materials eintritt, welch letzteres mit der eingeführten heifsen Luft in innige Berührung kommt. Das von der Trommel Bλ mitgenommene Material stöfst schliefslich gegen die Klappe c, drückt diese nach oben und wird dann über die obere Fläche der Scheidewand C zu der Trommel B geschoben, die es wieder nach unten führt. Will man den Trockenkasten A entleeren, so drückt man die Klappe c1 in die in Fig. 1 punktirte Lage auf die Scheidewand C nieder und schlägt auch die Klappe c in die punktirte Lage nach oben. Das von der Trommel B1 mitgenommene Material wird dann auf die schräg stehende Klappe c1 geschoben, die es nach aufsen leitet. Pateντ-Ansprüche:IMPERIAL PATENT OFFICE. CLASS 82 PATENT FOCUS: Dryers. The drying box A is provided with holes or perforations on its circumference and contains two drums B and B1, which are set in rotation in the same direction indicated by arrows. On the jacket of the drums BB1, slats of triangular or hook-shaped cross-section or hooks are attached in the direction of the generators, which grasp the material entering through the opening α of the box A and push it away. Before the drying box, to which hot air flows through the pipe D ending in the branches d d, is charged, two rake-like flaps cc1 rotatably attached to the edge of the opening α are set as shown in FIG. The material is pushed over the flap c to the drum B, which takes it with it as it rotates. In the latter case, the material arrives at a partition C of the drying box extending between the two drums, accumulates there and is finally caught by drum B1. This always first of all grasps the outer layers, which up to that point have moved along the inner circumference of the box A, so that the material is turned, the latter coming into intimate contact with the hot air that has been introduced. The material carried along by the drum Bλ finally hits the flap c, pushes it upwards and is then pushed over the upper surface of the partition C to the drum B, which leads it down again. If the drying box A is to be emptied, the flap c1 is pressed down onto the partition C in the position dotted in FIG. 1 and flap c is also pushed up into the dotted position. The material carried along by the drum B1 is then pushed onto the inclined flap c1, which directs it outwards. Pateντ claims:

mit Vorsprüngen auf dem Umfang zum Mitnehmen des Materials versehenen
Trommeln BB1, und die Scheidewand C,
an der sich das von der Trommel B beförderte Material staut, um von der zweiten
Trommel B1 erfafst zu werden.1. Trockenapparat die an dessen Oeffnung α drehbar befestigten Klappen c und c1,
welche auf die Scheidewand C niedergeklappt werden können, um in diesem
Falle durch Klappe c das Material einzuführen, durch Klappe c1 selbstthätig auszuführen.
