Der Manschetten- oder Rockärmelschützer besteht aus einem Schlauch

behandelt werden, um es für Feuchtigkeit, Säuren oder andere Flüssigkeiten, welche
den zu schützenden Teilen schädlich sein könnten, undurchlässig zu machen. Hierdurch
werden die Biegsamkeit, Nachgiebigkeit, Streckbarkeit, Ausdehnbarkeit und die formanpassende
Fähigkeit nur unwesentlich vermindert. Der Schlauch r ist an seinen Enden 2 und
3 offen, so daß er in der aus Abb. r ersichtlichen Weise leicht über die Hand gestreift
werden kann. Erfindungsg ema äß ist nun in den durch Umlegen und Festnähen des hinteren
Endes gebildeten Hohlsaum ein dehnbares Band .4 gezogen. Dieses Band ist zweckmäßig
flach, so daß eine ziemlich weite Oberfläche des Handgelenks erfaßt und so der erforderliche
Druck um das Handgelenk erzielt wird, welcher das Ende 2 des Schützers in seiner
Gebrauchsstellung sichert.
In den ebenfalls durch Umlegen und Festnähen
des vorderen Endes 3 gebildeten Hohlsaum ist ein elastischer Ring 5 gezogen. Dieser
ist zweckmäßig von zylindrischem Querschnitt und im Vergleich zum elastischen Bande
4 von geringer Breite. Obwohl deshalb der Ring auf eine geringe Fläche wirkt, wird
dennoch der notwendige Druck erzielt, um den Schützer in der gewünschten Lage auf
dem Ärmelaufschlag zu halten, den er umschließt und bedeckt, wenn der Schlauch 1
mit seinem vorderen Ende 3 rückwärts über den Ärmelaufschlag gefaltet wird (Abb.
-2). Dabei liegt das Ende 3 nahe und hinter dem Rande des zurückgefalteten Ärmelaufschlags
sowie nahe und hinter dem Saum, der den Aufschlag 6 mit dem Ärmel 7 verbindet. Der
in das Ende 3 des Schützers eingeschlossene, elastische Ring 5 legt sich leicht,
aber sicher auf den Ärmel 7. Durch leichten Druck hält er den Schützer in der zurückgefalteten
Schutzlage über dem Aufschlag 6. Dabei geben die Kante des letzteren und der Saum
einen weiteren Halt, um eine unbeabsichtigte Verschiebung des den elastischen Ring
5 enthaltenden Endes 3 und seiner Eingriffslage mit dein Ärmel 7 zu verhindern.
Das Ende 3 des Schützers und der Teil des Schlauches 1 am Ende 3 sowie der in letzteres
eingeschlossene, elastische Ring 5 bilden einen verdickenden oder verstärkenden
Wulst um dieses Schützerende, welches den Rand des Aufschlags 6 und den Saum umfaßt.
Auf diese Weise wird ein weiteres Mittel zur Verhütung einer unbeabsichtigten Verschiebung
