Description
Rotary suction cell drum filters, especially for pulp production For the dewatering of cellulose or other fibrous materials as well as for The simultaneous production of fabric webs from these fabrics are cylinder mold machines and suction cell rotary drum filters are known. The design of the lower drum circumference The fabric trough surrounding these machines is used for the production of the said lengths of fabric essential.
In cylinder mold machines, material troughs are known that have the The center of the cylinder or drum is pulled up and narrowed on one side, with the fabric inlet from above into the fabric trough. This was also on the opposite side of the inflow Side to achieve an even flow of material in the material trough a permanent overflow provided, as well as the material inlet with a different design of the material trough Largest cross-section at the trough point with simultaneous installation of a circulating dam arranged in order to avoid disturbing eddy currents and undercurrents in the fabric trough itself.
The invention relates to a suction cell rotary drum filter, in particular for the production of fabric webs from cellulose or other fibrous materials, with one surrounding the filter drum and moving steadily in the direction of rotation of the drum expanding fabric trough. The characteristic of the subject of the invention is that the material trough is provided with the material flow at the narrowest point.
The technical progress achieved according to the invention consists in the following: i. Most extensive use of the entire filter drum surface, 2. Prevents the filter layer from falling off, especially with thicker and heavier ones Lengths of fabric, 3. Achieving unhindered and calm flow, therefore fast and light filter layer formation, .a .. avoidance of dead corners and angles and settling of solids.
In the drawing, Fig. I shows the new cellulose filter in cross section, Fig. 2 partially shows the same in the front view.
The filter drum 4, which is divided into individual cells i in a known manner, is sucked up by the pin 2 and provided with a screen covering 3 suitable for dewatering or the like of cellulose, is mounted on both sides on frames 5 and is driven by a worm gear 6. The drum i to d. is partially surrounded on its cylindrical circumference by a fabric trough which leaves a large part of the filter surface free of fabric at the sides and top and which widens spirally from its lower beginning 7 to the upper end 8 and here has a fabric overflow 9 on both sides. In the beginning of the trough 7, the substance is inevitably fed through a tube io, which widens in a funnel-shaped manner up to the full width of the substance trough at ii (Fig. 2). This ensures that the material is performed evenly over the entire width of the filter surface and also over the entire width from the beginning of the trough 7 to the upper end of the trough 8 a flow of material in the direction of the circulation of the filter drum and the path of the material web is created, which is the forming The length of fabric, when it has become thicker, helps so that it does not move from drum i to d. can slip off. The speed of this material flow can be arbitrary, z. B. can be increased via the web speed, in which latter case the current can even have a smoothing effect on the web. The excess material flows up at 9 on both sides into chimneys 12 attached to the side of the trough 7, 8 and from here into the channel 13, from where it is added to the non-filtered material again. The spiral widening of the trough 7, 8 offers the advantage that the fabric web is in no way hindered from running onto the filter drum in the greatest possible thickness when it is formed, whereby the performance of the filter is increased compared to those with conventional troughs. The fabric trough 7, 8, 9, 12 rests with feet 1d., 15 on supports 16, 17 which are supported with adjusting screws 18 on the bracket 19, 2o of the frames 5. It consists of two parts, the lower part 21 and the upper part 22, which are butt against the smooth edges 23 of the filter drum (Fig. 2), are provided with a seal (felt, rubber or the like) 2.4 and by means of the screws 18 , 25 are pressed. The beginning of the trough 7 is sealed over on the drum 1 to 4 by a thick felt or rubber strip 26 which can be pressed on by means of screws 27. After removing the trough upper part 22, the filter drum can be lifted upwards. The adjusting screws 18 can sit on springs in order to be able to yield to a lowering of the drum. A permeable roller (Eguttör) 28, which can be pressed by means of levers and weights 29, 30, is placed on top for subsequent dewatering of the fabric web produced, as well as a massive pressure roller 31, which is also weight-loaded revolving roller 33 removed and continued. At the bottom of the trough part 21 there is a pipe 34 with a slide 35 for draining the material and cleaning the trough. Fixed control heads 36 are pressed onto the end face of the drum journals 2 and are connected to pipes 37 for sucking air and water out of the cells i of the filter drum.
A particular difficulty in the filtration of cellulose, viz the falling of the thick, heavily watery ones caused by their own gravity The fabric layer from the filter drum is applied here by raising the trough the exchange side with fixed. The increasingly thick layer of cellulose is carried by the fabric in the trough and can if the drum is 45 'above it if the horizontal means has been lifted, it does not fall off at all, since it then rises the drum is resting.
The sealing of the fabric trough against the filter drum could of course can be done in other ways as described, but the one described offers the most advantages related to the new way of working of the filter.
Of course, the suction cell rotary drum filter according to FIG Invention also used for the filtration and filter sheet formation of other materials will.
