Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing a frequency spectrum in an internal combustion piston engine, wherein a throttle valve functioning as a flow modulator is displaced in an oscillating manner inside the exhaust pipe, such that the frequency spectrum is modified in the exhaust flow. The drive of the throttle valve is controlled by means of a signal generator such that the oscillating throttle valve produces the desired frequency spectrum.
