Abstract

System for cleaning heat exchanger pipes has cleaning bodies (1f) which are resistant to temperatures above 120degrees C and resistant to aggressive media such as crude oil. The outer dimensions of the cleaning bodies during cleaning are equal to the inner diameter of the pipe (5) to be cleaned. The cleaning bodies have an external contact surface suitable for removing deposits from the inner wall of the pipes and pass through the pipe under the pressure of the flowing medium. During the passage of the cleaning bodies deposits adhering to the inner wall of the pipe are collected from the contact surface of the cleaning bodies and dissolved, taken up by the flowing medium and the cleaning bodies, and removed from the pipe. An Independent claim is also included for cleaning bodies used for cleaning heat exchanger tubes.
