Die Drehaxe der Thür besteht aus federndem Stahl oder Schmiedeisen etc. und ist etwas gebogen, wie α der beiliegenden Zeichnung zeigt. Die Axe ist in den beiden Thürknaggen b b durch Stifte befestigt und zwar so, dafs die convexe Seite derselben von der Zarge abgewendet, dagegen in dem an der Zarge befindlichen Knaggen c drehbar ist.
