Der Verschluß dient dazu, Kisten oder dergl. ohne Anwendung von Nägeln mit dem Deckel sicher zu verbinden. Zweckmäßig sind an kleinen Kisten zwei, an großen vier Stück derartige Verschlüsse anzubringen.
Der Deckelhaken α ist aus starkem Eisenblech gebogen und mittels einer Mutterschraubc auf dem Deckel befestigt. Der Wand körper b, ebenfalls aus Eisenblech, ist in derselben Weise mittels Mutterschrauben an den Seitenwänden der Kiste angebracht und trägt den Verschlußkörper c, welcher an dem Wandkörper b scharnierartig durch den Drahtbügel d verbunden ist.
