Das vorliegende Schlofs hat eine Klappe, an deren innerer Seite oben ein Schliefshäkchen sitzt, in welches ein federnder Riegel eingreift. Dieser Riegel liegt unter der Schlofsplatte des oberen Deckels und kann durch einen flach aufliegenden Henkel, der wie ein Thürklopfer aussieht, durch Aufheben bewegt werden. Der Riegel ist an beiden Seiten mit Schlitzen versehen, welche über die Stifte gg, Fig. 2, greifen. Diese bilden die Geradführung des Riegels. Die um die Platte c c nach unten umgebogenen Vorderkanten desselben bilden den Haken, welcher in den Haken i eingreift. Die beiden vorderen Ecken der Platte c treten vor und sind etwas abwärts gebogen, so dafs für den umgebogenen Theil des Riegels zwischen der äufseren Schlofsplatte A und der Kante der Platte c ein genügender schmaler Raum bleibt, Fig. 2.In Fig. Ι A is the upper lock plate of any shape, more or less decorated.
