Verfahren zur Reinigung von Ammonbicarbonat
Das in verschiedenen Betrieben hergestellte
Ainmonbicarbonat bringt häufig je nach
:einer Herkunft hartnäckig anhaftende Ver-
unreinigungen mit, von <Ionen es infolge
.eines labilen Charakters und infolge der
atur dieser Verunreinigungen nicht ohne
weiteres durch die üblichen chemischen Hilfs-
mittel getrennt werden kann. Diese Verun-
reini gungen, welche besonders (lern auf K_ol:e-
reien hergestellten Ammonbicarbonat an-
liaft:n, sind seiner weiteren Verwendung, ins-
besondere zu chemischen Umsetzungen. so
u. L'. für die gedachten Zwecke nicht selten
überhaupt in Frage.
Verunreinigungen in einfacher Weise ent-
Kohlensäure dann sogleich in Ainmonbicar-
stimmte Ammonbicarbonat in reiner Form
und ohne die anhaftenden und riechenden
Verunreinigungen wiederzugewinnen. Die bei
der ersten Operation erforderliche Anwen-
dung von wässerigem Ammoniak läßt sich bei
den folgenden Operationen durch die er-
wähnte sinngemäße Benutzung der Vorlage-
gefäße ebenfalls vermeiden.
Die Reinigung von Aminonbicarbonat
durch Sublimation ist an sich bekannt, sie
reicht aber für das z. B. auf Kokereien ge-
wonnene Bicarbonat nicht aus. Gemäß der
Erfindung werden die dein Ammonbicarbonat
hartnäckig anhaftenden Fremdkörper in ein-
facher und vollkommener Weise entfernt,
wenn man die an sich bekannte Sublimation
und die Wiedervereinigung des sublimierten
Salzes so herbeiführt, claß man die zuerst ent-
stehenden kohlensäurereichen Gase in einer
Ammoniak- oder Amnionbicarbonathaltigen
Lösung auffängt.
Es ist ferner schon vorgeschlagen worden,
aus wässerigen Lösungen, die Ammoniak und
Kolilen,#iitire enthalten, unmittelbar kohlen-
Method for purifying ammonium bicarbonate The one produced in various factories

It has also been suggested that
from aqueous solutions containing ammonia and

to produce acidic ammonia by subjecting the solution to a distillation process after appropriate pretreatment with C? 1. The ammonium carbonate vapors should then be passed through freshly annealed charcoal. It has also been proposed to replace the pretreatment with 01 by cleaning the vapors distilled off using metal oxides. The present invention has nothing to do with these modes of operation, which does not start from aqueous solutions but from solid ammonium bicarbonate, and the use of which leads to a completely pure product, although, contrary to the prevailing view, the vapors are only treated with active charcoal and others Cleaning agents can be dispensed with.

It is expedient to place the entire apparatus, with the exception of the condensation vessel filled with ammonia, under water kept at a suitable temperature.
