Auf beiliegender Zeichnung zeigt Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht dieses zusammenlegbaren und leicht transportirbaren Apparates. Fig. 2 zeigt den Behälter, welcher das comprimirte im prägnirende Gas enthält. Fig. 3 ist ein Grundrifs des Sackes; Fig. 4 zeigt in vergrößertem Mafsstabe einen senkrechten Längsschnitt des Sackes in Verbindung mit dem Gasbehälter. Fig. 5 zeigt in vergrößertem Mafsstabe den Bügel zum Schliefsen des Sackes; Fig. 6 ist ein Grundrifs desselben und Fig. 7 zeigt einen Querschnitt durch eine der Bügelschrauben. Auf der Zeichnung bezeichnet A den biegsamen Einbalsamirungssack, zweckmäfsig aus Gummi oder Gummigewebe hergestellt, B den Wagen, um die Leiche während des Einbalsamirens zu stützen, C die Luftpumpe und D den Behälter, welcher das zusammengeprefste, zum Einbalsamiren bestimmte Gas enthält. Der biegsame Sack A besitzt auf einem Ende eine weite Oeffnung a, durch welche die Leiche auf dem Wagen eingerollt oder geschoben wird. Diese Oeffnung wird luftdicht durch die Bügel a^l α² und die Bügelschrauben cft verschlossen. Diese Bügel a¹ a¹ können durch Scharniere oder auch auf andere Weise verbunden werden, wie es in Fig. 5 und 6 durch Λ⁵ angedeutet ist. Diese Ränder oder Kanten an· der Oeffnung des Gummisaekes werden zweckmäfsig mit dem Falz a⁹ und der Nuth a⁸ versehen, durch welche sie mit Hülfe der Schrauben a³ so weit zusammengezogen werden, dafs ein fester Verschlufs entsteht. An dem anderen Ende des Sackes befindet sich ein Rohrstutzen F, der mit einer Kupplung f versehen ist und durch diese mit dem Rohr c der Luftpumpe C und mit dem Rohr d des Gasbehälters D in Verbindung gesetzt werden kann. Der Stutzen F ist nun ferner mit einem Absperrhahn oder Ventil f¹ versehen. Der Gasbehälter ist ebenfalls mit einem Hahn oder Ventil d¹ ausgerüstet. Der Wagen zur Aufnahme der Leiche ist hauptsächlich aus drei zusammenklappbaren Theilen hergestellt, welche unter einander durch Scharniere b und durch Haken oder andere Vorrichtungen b¹ verbunden sind, um die Verbindung so starr zu machen, wie dies zur guten Unterstützung der Leiche nothwendig ist. Die Räder B¹ des Wagens B sind mit Gummikränzen B² versehen, so dafs sie den Sack A beim Hineinrolien weder zerschneiden noch verletzen können. Der Wagen B ist ferner mit einer Gesichtsmaske G versehen, um das Gesicht vor Berührung mit dem biegsamen Sacke A zu schützen. Diese Maske ist an dem Wagen beweglich angeordnet, so dafs sie erst befestigt wird, wenn die Leiche sich auf dem Wagen befindet. Ferner ist der Wagen in Zwischenräumen mit Riemen b² ausgerüstet, um die feste Lage der Leiche zu sichern; auch besitzt er ein Brett b³, auf welchem der Nacken oder Kopf ruht.
