Abstract

A ratchet mechanism (22) arranged in the front part (7) of the seat fixes this part (7) into basic and angled settings in relation to the seat base (2) in response to an actuator (18). The actuator unit is mounted accessibly in the front part (7) underside. The ratchet works by means of a slider (23) engaging complementary guides in the base over the seat length (L). The actuator comprises a twist button (18) round axis (20) by link (26), suitably slotted out for engagement with play by the ratchet slide (23). The seat front part (7) is loaded by spring (14) towards its basic setting and shaft (20) uses a cam-engaged link (30) to position the actuator in free and arrested settings.
