Abstract
The invention relates to a device for assembling insulating glass panes that are filled with gas that is different from air, comprising: two plates (1, 2), which are opposite one another, placed parallel, perpendicular or slanted with regard to one another and whose distance from one another can be altered; a horizontal conveyor (3), which is situated along the lower edge of the plates (1, 2) while being near this lower edge of the plates (1, 2) and which has a conveying device (4); at least one first sealing device (5, 6) and at least one second sealing device (7, 8), which extend from the horizontal conveyor (3) up to a position located above the horizontal conveyor (3), and their distance from one another can be altered in the direction of conveyance (4), at least the at least one second sealing device (7, 8) being able to be placed between both plates (1, 2), and; means for supplying the gas that is different from air into a chamber that is laterally delimited by both plates (1, 2) and two of the sealing devices (5, 6, 7, 8). The invention provides that the at least one second sealing device (7, 8), which can be placed between the plates (1, 2), has an extrudate (33), which can be inserted from the top downward into the space between the plates (1, 2) and which can be reversibly pressed together by shortening the distance between the plates (1, 2).
