Abstract

The method involves passing a material web (4) over the circumference of carrying rollers (1, 2) and applying adhesive tape (9) on the material web. End and start of the material web are connected with a winding roller (5) and a winding core, respectively. The web behind the tape is sucked by one of the carrying rollers at a suction zone (10), and the web portion between the tape and the zone is cut by a saw blade.
