Abstract

The invention relates to a device for cutting through a web running to a driven winding roll and for fixing the following web beginning to a winding core or to a winding tube. Said device comprises a winding roller, which leads to the winding roll and against which a winding tube can be placed, a blade that cuts through the web, and comprises means for diverting the web beginning from the winding roller to the driven winding tube. In order to permit, in a simple manner, a web beginning that is cut free to be wound onto a winding tube without applying adhesive, deflection rollers, which are mounted on supports like a pair of tongs, can be moved into the roller gaps between the winding roller and the winding tube that is placed against the same. At least one endless belt runs over said deflection rollers and, as the deflection rollers are moved into the roller gaps (10), it encompasses part of the winding tube facing away from the winding roller. The winding roller is provided with a cutting blade that can be extended out of a slot located on a surface line and, in the direction of rotation behind the cutting blade, is provided with a device, which introduces the web beginning formed by the separated section into the gap located between the winding tube and the belt that runs over the deflection rollers and onto the winding tube.
