Abstract

An insole has an injection-molded rigid core (2) of thermoplastic polyurethane, which is surrounded on all sides by polyurethane foam (3). The core (2) extends from the middle part up to the heel and has holes (4) of 5 to 10 mm diameter. At the heel is an oval hole (5) with a major axis of 30 to 50 mm. One of the holes (6) can form part of the location arrangements in the mold. An independent claim is also included for the manufacturing process of locating the pre-fabricated core in a mold by means of three pegs (6) and surrounding it with polyurethane foam. At least one of the pegs has a thickened head like a press-stud and is removable.
