Method of treating peat for fertilization purposes It is known
to use peat waste in agriculture to enrich the soil with humus content.
It has also been suggested to use an inorganic or organic fertilizer salt
Add peat fibers to improve the throwing power and shelf life
of the fertilizer. In these known fertilizers, the peat fibers are
either in a very much smaller amount or at most in that amount
the appropriate amount of the fertilizer salt is added.
The new invention makes it its task, however, the peat litter
to make it suitable for fertilization purposes.
The invention consists in that peat litter in the dried state
dry to a small extent during or after grinding or sieving
powdered fertilizer salts intimately mixed and then the peat litter mixture in known
Way is pressed into bales for the purpose, not just for enrichment
of the soil with humus substances, but also for fertilization, in order to achieve a
to achieve fine distribution of the fertilizer salts in the soil.
in verhältnismäßig dünner
By mixing peat litter and fertilizer salts within the meaning of the invention
the advantage is achieved that a uniform enrichment of humus and fertilizer salts
takes place according to the consumption caused by the growth of the plants. Also opposite
the known methods in which humic plant residues with water-insoluble fertilizer salts
or mixed with an insufficient amount of alkali salts to dissolve the humic acids
the invention represents a significant advance because with the in
dry powdered fertilizer salts mixed in the dried state of the peat
not only an enrichment of the soil with humus substances, but also through it at the same time
this fertilization is achieved. At the same time, the invention achieves a favorable distribution
of the fertilizer salt in the soil. The invention can be carried out in various ways.
An exemplary embodiment is described below: peat litter or fine peat litter
is used during its manufacture, e.g. b. when grinding b @ zw. even better when straining,
intimately mixed in the air-dry state with dry pulverized fertilizer.
As powdered fertilizer, phosphates, potash salts, Thomas flour, kainite,
Lime and ground guano are used. It is essential that the peat litter
is mixed as intimately as possible with the ground fertilizer, which is expedient by special
Mixing devices can be done. After sufficient mixing of the peat will
this is pressed into bales and is marketed as peat fertilizer. At his
The Tarfmu11 will be used as before
in relatively thinner
Layer as evenly distributed as possible on the field. One achieves that
not as before, the artificial fertilizer is deposited in a thick layer in individual places
is, but is as evenly distributed as possible on the field and possibly undercut here
can be. The peat litter becomes its recognized advantage of loosening the soil
and exercise humus fortification.
An example embodiment is that 10 kg of peat litter 1 kg of fertilizer salt
is added. The addition of the fertilizer salt is about 5 to 15% for large bales
can be used accordingly less, depending on the fertilizing effect achieved
shall be.
