Abstract

Fire protection glazing comprises several fire protection panes (1) arranged in a common plane, and a support (7) arranged in a free-standing manner in a room a distance away from the glazing and fixed to a room-defining surface (3). The support is connected via a support bracket (8) to the fire protection panes whose edges (21) adjoin each other with a gap. A spacer (15) on which the fire protection pane stands is located in the gap and connected to the support bracket. The spacer is covered by a plate (9) on the side of the glazing facing away from the support. The plate additionally covers a part of the edge of the fire protection pane. Preferred Features: The spacer is made of wood, preferably glued laminated wood.
