worden.Process for the preparation of nitrogenous vat dyes
Addendum to Patent 481450 In the main patent 481 450 it has been shown that one
valuable vat dye, which usually turns gray shades of cotton, receives - if
one nitrodibenzantlirone with weak, alkaline agents, optionally in the presence
of solvents or diluents and catalysts, treated, and in the i.
Additional patent 485 gog extends this process to nitroisodibenzantlirone
been.
Stoffen, erhitzt. It has now been found that valuable, mostly gray-colored
Dyes of the dibenzanthrone or isodibenzantliron series can be obtained if one
the two above-mentioned processes are modified to include nitrodibenzanthrone or
Nitroisodibenzantlirone or their derivatives on their own or with suitable solutions
or diluents, optionally with the addition of catalytically active agents
Fabrics, heated.
Beispiel i Nitrodibenzanthron
blauer Küpe in grauen, sehr echten Tönen. The dyes obtainable by this process dissolve concentrated sulfuric acid in general with a violet-red or green color and dye cotton from a blue vat in gray shades of very good fastness. Example i Nitrodibenzanthrone (prepared by nitrating pure dibenzanthrone in nitrobenzene with nitric acid at temperatures below 10 ') is heated in finely divided form with stirring until sintering. The dye obtained, a dark blue powder , dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a violet-red color and dyes the cotton from the blue vat in gray, very real shades.
If a nitroisodibenzanthrone is used instead of nitrodibenzantlirone
(prepared e.g. from isodibenzanthrone by nitration with nitric acid in nitrobenzene),
in this way a reaction product which stains reddish gray is obtained.
Wasserdampf behandelt.
Example 2 5 parts of nitrodibenzanthrone (prepared from dibenzanthrone by nitration with nitric acid in nitrobenzene) are gel-oclite in 75 parts of nitrobenzene for 24 hours. The reaction product is filtered off with suction while warm, boiled with 250 parts of trichlorobenzene and treated with ZD steam. The reaction product obtained in excellent yield dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a red-violet color - and dyes cotton from a blue vat in gray to black, very real shades, Example 3 A suspension of 50 parts of the according to example of the patent 1859 -:! 2 available nitrodibenzantbrons in 1,000 parts of nitrobenzene until a sample taken gives pure blue-gray colorations. It is then filtered off with suction or the nitrobenzene is distilled off, if appropriate under reduced pressure or with steam. The remaining dye, a blue-black powder, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a violet color and dyes cotton from a reddish blue vat in blue-gray to blue-black shades of excellent fastness.
