Device for picture writing apparatus with electrochemical writing
The invention relates to a device for writing apparatus for transmission
of images by wireless means or over lines, with the transcript of the
Received image electrochemically by depositing suitable coloring
Components by means of a passing through the writing surface made conductive
Stromes takes place. The purpose of the invention is to write the received image
on a continuously moving picture strip, omitting the cumbersome one
Allow image drum in a simple manner. For this purpose, according to Fig. I
a rotating cylinder i is used, on whose circumference a conductive cutting edge: 2
is attached in the course of a helix. This conductive cutting edge forms one
Pole of the writing device. The writing surface, e.g. B. one with a suitable electrolyte
soaked or impregnated cardboard strip 3, is over an electrically conductive rectilinear
Cutting edge guided by the length of the metal cylinder, which is parallel to the designated
Metal cylinder and stands at the level of its axis and opposes it with light pressure
the cutting edge. This straight cutting edge forms parallel to the cylinder axis
the second pole for the supply of the appropriately amplified receiving current, the
So from the straight cutting edge through the soaked paper to the helical one
Cutting edge passes. Now the designated metal cylinder rotates around its axis
d., so the cutting edge rolls with every full revolution -? once with even
Speed along the straight edge, d. H. the point of current transition
from edge to edge moves evenly across the entire width of the line
of the paper strip. If this itself is moved slowly, the writes around the
Cylinder cutting edge running in a helical line on the next revolution of the
Cylinder another line, etc. As the deposition of the coloring electrolytic
Product only takes place at those points where current reception is available
is the result of the transmitted image.
In devices of this type, it is mainly important that
the pressure with which the straight cutting edge and the one applied to the cylinder jacket
Cut the paper or other writing material between them
work, is sufficient at all points, but that there is no excessive pressure anywhere
occurs, which could tear the paper located between the cutting edges.
Now this condition can be met with consideration of the fluctuating thickness of the paper
and mechanical imperfections of the apparatus never by mere precision work
reach. To ensure sufficient contact pressure at all points, but excessive
Avoiding stress on the writing material is now
according to
the further invention, as can be seen from Fig. 2, the helical cutting edge,
which is expediently in the form of a platinum wire 2 or 2 placed around the writing cylinder
a wire made of another resistant material, not a rigid one
Applied cylinder surface, but this cylinder surface is designed to be elastically resilient.
The easiest way to do this is to move the cylinder i, e.g. B. by vulcanizing,
covered with a sufficiently thick rubber layer j and cut into it
shallow groove embeds the wire laid around. But this groove can also be dispensed with
when the material is sufficiently soft in itself. In this way it is achieved
that in those places where as a result of thickening of the writing material or mechanical
Imperfections an excessive pressure would occur, the resilient rubber layer gives way,
and so the whole thing can always be set so that across the entire line
a good, compliant contact is ensured.
