Die untere, aus wässeriger Kochsalzlösung bestehende Schicht wird abgelassen, während man die obere, den Aethylalkohol des Nachlaufes und den Amylalkohol enthaltende und etwa 8o° Tralles zeigende Schicht zur weiteren Concentrirung nochmals mit etwa ebenso viel Kochsalz als vorhin durchmischen und die Schichtenbildung hervorrufen kann. Hierauf wird die neuerdings erhaltene obere Schicht etwa 88° Tralles zeigen.
