Die Kammer d ist also stets mit flüssigem Brennstoff angefüllt, der frei von Luftblasen ist und unter genügendem Druck steht, um die (nicht dargestellten) Einspritzpumpen in jeder beliebigen Lage der Kammer durch die Auslaßleitung h zu speisen, die mit ihrem einen Ende mitten in der Flüssigkeitsmasse der Kammer ausmündet.
