Description

Wet gas meter The wet gas meter with oil filling have the disadvantage that. the filling liquid absorbs the intense smell of the gas after a short time. As soon as the oil knives are filled up, this smell spreads throughout the room, so that for this reason many gasworks refrain from introducing them, in spite of the great excessiveness of the oil gas knife. This drawback eliminates the gas meter according to the present invention, which is shown in Fig. I and a. The known overflow pipe, which determines the height of the liquid level, is partially led out of the knife in a gas-tight manner and is designed here as a sight glass a. If the filling liquid in chamber B reaches the overflow edge of b when filling the gas meter, the liquid runs through the glass tube a into the overflow container E. The time at which the overflow begins can be seen in the transparent tube a visible from the outside, see above that filling can be stopped immediately and only a little liquid gets into the container E. Since this is kept very large and, as is well known, an oil gas meter needs to be refilled at most every six months, the liquid container E only fills after repeated adjustments, so that during this time it is not necessary to drain the liquid every time it is refilled. The filled liquid container E can then be emptied through the drain screw h. In order to prevent the filling liquid from overflowing before the drum chamber I (is filled, the filling tube d is guided directly into chamber I (in a known manner.
