Abb. i zeigt den Aufriß
Der Wanderrost steht sofort still.
erreicht.Traveling grate with slag scrapers guided along the furnace wall A well-known problem with traveling grates is that after a short time slag caked on the sides of the grates immediately above the combustion path, which makes perfect fire control impossible. To remove the slag, among other things, so-called slag cutters are also used, which are placed on individual grate bars on the side of the traveling grate at the front end of the grate. These slag separators have the disadvantage that you either have to pay close attention to the rear end of the grate until the slag separator shows up in order to be able to remove it again, depending on the reliability of the operation, or that they burn in a short time if you keeps it running through the furnace. According to the invention, as soon as the Schlackenr cutter has migrated through the furnace and comes to a certain point at the rear end of the grate, a device is triggered that firstly gives a sign and also switches off the drive motor for the grate. An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing. Fig. I shows the elevation of the rear end of the grate, Fig. 2 shows a cross section through the rear end of the grate. The device operates folgenderr extent Once the Schlackenabstreicher a, the rotating traveling grate is mounted on the lateral grate bars b of the rear axle c itself, enters the dash-dot position, it abuts against the lever d of the rod e and presses this lever d from the Position I in the dot-dash position II. Here, the pawl f has moved from the dotted position to the extended position and released the shift lever g, which has been held by the pawl f, so that it is pulled into the off position by a spring h will. In this switch-off position, the circuit of the electric drive motor for the grate is interrupted and a circuit for an alarm device is closed. The traveling grate comes to a standstill immediately. In order to turn off the alarm device, for example the vain horn, the heater must remove the slag cutter, which can be done in a few seconds. Then he turns off the drive motor for the traveling grate and with the pawl f the .Schalthebel g again, whereby the alarm device is silent. The grate drive motor is then switched on again. The whole process only takes a short time. This measure largely protects the slag separator.
