Device for alternately switching on and off a large number
of circuits, especially for advertising lighting There are facilities for
Advertising lighting (flashing lights) for a large number of # flashing lights)
known. They consist e.g. B. from a shift shaft driven by a motor,
which controls the circuits with the help of switching cams. This structure brings it
with it that the formation of the switching shaft becomes more difficult, the more circuits
are to be switched, so that the number of circuits is practically limited. -By

Individual devices, e.g. B. for five circuits, cooperate in such a way that they
switch their utility circuits one after the other. Each individual device can, for example
be carried out according to dep. i. It consists of a relay that switches on
pulls its armature and by means of a ratchet cone and ratchet wheel a shift shaft by 1 / s
Rotation. As soon as the winding is de-energized, the armature of the relay goes
back to its starting position. The lifting thumbs control the contacts i to 5, the
lead to the utility circuits.
B in der, Schaltuhr geht Relais I in die nächste Stellung, Kontakt a bleibt geschlossen,
Kontakt b bleibt geschlossen, Kontakt i bleibt geschlossen, Kontakt a wird dazugeschaltet.
Die Kontakte i
Relais II führt also
According to the invention several, z. B. 3, switching devices of this type interconnected so that they come into action one after the other. Fig. 2 shows the circuit diagram of a system in which 1 5 circuits are switched by three individual devices of the type described. The switching relays are controlled by the flashing contact B of a timer, while the Eirund. Switching off the device is carried out by the switching drum A of this timer. The mode of operation of the device shown is as follows: The clock has just switched on its switching drum A and thus the contact a, which is controlled by relay I, is bridged. As soon as the flashing contact B- in the timer is closed, a current flows from the flashing contact B via the auxiliary contact b from the relay I via the winding of the relay I via the switching drum A of the timer to the other line pole. The relay I performs the first circuit. It closes the contact a and the contact i. With the next switching of the flashing contact B by the time switch, the relay I again receives a current impulse via the contact b through the winding of the relay I via the contact a to the other line pole. The next time the flashing contact B contacts the timer, relay I goes to the next position, contact a remains closed, contact b remains closed, contact i remains closed, contact a is switched on. Contacts 3, 4 and: 5 are switched on for the following flashing contacts. When the sixth contact is made, relay I performs a dead circuit. Contacts i to 5 remain closed, contact b is opened and contact c is closed. As soon as contact c is closed, flashing contact B closes the circuit via c, d, relay 1I, contact a to the other mains pole. Relay II performs the first circuit at the same time as the dead circuit of relay I, thereby closing contact 6, with the following contacts d opens and contact e is closed. The flashing contact B now closes the circuit via contacts e, e, f, the winding of relay III via contact a to the other mains pole. Relay III thereby closes circuits 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 one after the other. Relay III then switches off all circuits, simultaneously closing contacts h and g and opening contact f. As soon as contact / t is closed, a current flows from the clock via the contacts, via the contact e, via the contact: h, through the winding of the closing relay, via the contact a to the other network pole. The closing relay picks up its armature and closes contacts i and k. The relay windings of relays I and II also receive a current surge and perform a circuit, whereby relay I opens the useful circuits from i to 5, opens contact a, closes contact b and opens the contact. Relay II also switches off the utility circuits 6 to io, closes contact d and opens contact e. This switch-off process is triggered by a single current surge from the flashing contact B and takes place so quickly one after the other that practically all of the useful circuits are switched off at the same time. Simultaneously with the first switching of the relay I, the relay III still makes a dead circuit, whereby it opens the contact h, opens the contact g and closes the contact /, whereupon the game is repeated in the order described.
Dies
When the switch drum -4 of the timer switches off, the relays work
I to III continue until the relay I interrupts contact a. this
is the case in the present case when all relays are in the off position
stand. This ensures that the shift drum A at the moment of disconnection
is currentless, apart from the low power consumption of the relay windings.
The switching operations of the device can be changed in various ways.
