Der Speicher für das durch die Rauchgase vorgewärmte Wasser wird entbehrlich, wenn Dampfvorwärmung und Rauchgasvorwärmung parallel geschaltet werden. Es ist bekannt, daß man im Rauchgasvorwärmer eine Dampfbildung verhüten muß. Diese kann jedoch bei der Parallelschaltung von Dampfvorwärmung und Rauchgasvorwärmu ng :eintreten. Sinkt nämlich bei Auftreten einer Belastungsspitze der Kesseldruck ab, so fällt bei der bisher üblichen Anordnung gleichzeitig auch der Druck im R,auchgasvorwärmer.
