Surface capacitor The object of the invention is a surface capacitor,
whose individual tube bundles are arranged between plates so that between a
Plate and a tube bundle each time a space for the air outlet remains free.
In the known capacitors of this type, the plates were also used for formation
of the air space to collect the overflowing from the tube bundles above
Condensation water. However, the steam could be used anywhere on the other sides of the tube bundle
enter into it and thus seek the shortest path. With the subject matter of the invention
the tube bundle and the plates are now arranged in a zigzag shape so that each plate
her tube bundle also encompasses the sides, so that the steam only ever comes from the underside
can enter the tube bundle. The individual units are useful here
so distributed that the steam alternately from one side and the other to the
single tube bundle occurs.
The drawing shows various embodiments of the invention,
namely: Fig. i is a schematic section through an embodiment of the invention
with a series of tube bundles; Fig. 2 and 3 show embodiments with two rows
of tube bundles.
A represents the condenser jacket, B the steam inlet, C the hot water chamber and D the tube bundle, the tubes of which are appropriately distributed so that the flow resistance is the same at all points of a tube bundle and all groups have the same flow resistance. On the outflow side of each tube bundle D there is an air chamber i, to which a discharge line-2 leading to the air pump connects. These air chambers are formed by plates a, which on one side lie tightly against the tube bundle and move away from it somewhat towards the side of the air suction, so that the width of the air chamber i corresponds to the number of tubes from which it takes the air, gradually increases. The opposite sides of the tube bundle D are through plates 3, q. closed, so that the exhaust steam can only enter the tube bundle from the underside and cannot take a shorter route through it.
In Fig. I, the tube bundles D are arranged one above the other and against one another
inclined, so that between each two successive tube bundles a gradually
rejuvenating vapor space io. The condensate is drained through .the
inclined plates a, placing on each of them the condensate from the one above
Tube bundle runs down. The tube bundles are arranged in the middle of the condenser,
so that the steam to the rooms io alternately from both sides through the steam rooms
ii access, through which it also reaches the lower part of the condenser and that
The draining condensate and the hot water chamber are heated.
The arrangements shown in Fig. 2 and 3 differ from
the arrangement according to Fig. i only in that it is intended for wider capacitors
and that they have two rows of tube bundles of the type shown in Fig
come to use, which are on opposite sides of a central steam room
12 are located, through which the steam to the tube bundles and the lower parts of the condenser
with the hot water chamber.
