Description
Lenkvorrichtung für Rodelschlitten Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine neuartige Lenkvorrichtung für Gleitfahrzeuge, insbesondere Rodelschlitten. Es ist eine Reihe von Vorrichtungen bekannt, welche die Lenkbarkeit des Schlittens dadurch bewirken, daß entweder ein besonderes Drehgestell am Vorderteil des Schlittens angebracht ist, welches durch Drehen um eine senkrechte Achse die Wendungen des Fahrzeuges nach der Seite hin bewirkt. Hierher gehört die bekannte »Bob«-Konstruktion. Andere Vorschläge gehen dahin, durch Verstellen der Schlittenkufen selbst, ähnlich wie beim Schlittschuh, die Wendungen des Schlittens zu bewirken, andererseits sind auch Vorrichtungen bekannt, welche die Änderung der Bewegungsvorrichtung durch Längsverschiebung der Schlittenkufen oder Veränderung ihrer Wölbung bewirken sollen. Die Wirkungsweise der Lenkvorrichtung ist folgende: Durch Drehung des Handrades i i wird das Zugseil 8 über die Seilscheibe 9 und die Lenkrollen io verschoben und dadurch die Schlittenkufen 3 in der Längsrichtung verschoben. Die Kufen gleiten dabei mit den Lagerbolzen 5 in den Lagerbüchsen der Stützen 2. Durch die schräg laufende Anordnung des Führungsschlitzes 7, in dem die Bolzen 6 der Kufen 3 gleiten, wird mit der horizontalen Verschiebung der Kufen 3 gleichzeitig eine Drehung um ihre Längsachse bewirkt, wie in der Querschnittfigur links dargestellt ist. Durch entsprechende Anordnung und Führung des Zugseiles 8 wird bewirkt, daß die Kufe auf der einen Seite des Schlittens vorgeschoben und verdreht und die Kufe auf der anderen Seite des Schlittens zurückgezogen und verdreht wird. Dadurch erfolgt die Wendung des Fahrzeuges nach der Seite hin, auf welcher die Kufe vorgeschoben wird. Diese Art der Lenkung hat gegenüber den bekannten Vorrichtungen den Vorzug, daß die für die Lenkbewegung erforderliche Kraft geringer :ist als bei den früheren Vorrichtungen und außerdem die Gefahr des Herausschleuderns des Fahrzeuges aus der Bahn durch die Schrägstellung der Kufen wesentlich verringert wird.
