Thrust bearings for electricity meters There are thrust bearings for electricity meters
known, in which the ball resting on a stone is housed in a chamber
is, the inlet opening for the armature axis is so large that the ball is removed when it is removed
the axle emerges from the bearing. Since the ball usually sticks to the axle,
in the vast majority of cases it is lost, rendering the bearing unusable.
Other arrangements are that the ball in a brass or injection molded pin
is grasped, with the injection molded or brass socket the connecting element between
Ball and axis forms. Although this arrangement avoids the loss of the ball, it has
but the disadvantage that the same part of the spherical surface is constantly used,
and that when the ball is inserted into the socket, the ball is easily damaged.
To prevent the ball from being lost and at the same time its mobility
not to affect, was in another known embodiment between
the axis and the ball arranged a catch plate that grips over the ball and such
It has dimensions that prevent the ball from falling out, and on which the axis
of the meter sits down. This arrangement has the disadvantage that the catch plate is very heavy
is to be produced with the necessary accuracy and that it is between the axis and the
Ball lies. This easily creates a shift between the two, which the
required centering interferes. In the subject matter of the invention, the disadvantages
the described arrangements avoided, while the advantages are retained.
The ball is loosely movable in the bearing and is prevented from falling out of the bearing.
For this purpose, a part is placed over the ball, which is dimensioned so that the
Ball cannot move out of the bearing. This part can either be complete
be arranged independently of the axis, or it can be connected to it,
that it revolves exactly centrically with her.

An exemplary embodiment is shown in Fig. I. The one on a gem

To prevent the ball from exiting through the opening in the cap, the
