Leaf spring for vehicles The invention relates in particular to
certain leaf springs for vehicles and consists primarily in the fact that the individual
Spring leaves are of the same length, which is known per se, and at least approximately
are designed as bodies of the same strength with variable thickness, so that
the leaves do not touch when the spring is loaded.

In the embodiment according to Fig. I to 4 all have spring leaves
D, Dl, same length and invariable width, but their thickness decreases from the spring collar
The free ends cut off roughly according to a mean parabola. The top one
and the lowest B1attD of the spring has an eye d2 at each end, with which it is around one
Pin e1 of a holder E engages (Fig. 3). Take hold of the remaining leaves D1 of the spring
with their free ends with play in recesses e2 (Fig. 3) of the holder E. the
The bracket E is connected to the spring hanger by pins e3. Under pressure
the spring move the holder E parallel to the spring collar C. This occurs sliding
Friction only between the eyes d = of the spring leaves D and the pins e1; the
Leaves Dl roll on the rounded edges of the recesses e2. The feather
As a result, it can still have a resilient effect even with small bumps, which is the case with the known
Springs as a result of the static friction between the individual spring leaves
not possible. In addition, the nib has the same length, the same number of leaves,
same sheet thickness in the middle and the same load as one of the known ones
Springs are a third more flexible than this, so that they also have a
can accommodate correspondingly larger deformation work.
The spring according to Fig. 5 and 6 has leaves F which, with the same width from the spring collar G, have a thickness that first decreases towards the ends and then increases again, in such a way that they are thinnest in the middle between the spring collar and a free end are. At their free ends, the leaves F have grooved recesses fl, into which wedges H are driven in such a way that the ends of the spring leaves together with holders K pushed over them form a rigid whole. As a result, the spring leaves behave like beams clamped at both ends under load, and the bending moment becomes zero in the middle between each holder K and the spring collar G, so that a hinge could also be provided at the thinnest points of each leaf F. As a result of the clamping of its ends, the spring has a considerably greater load-bearing capacity and a work capacity that is one third greater than the known springs with the same length, the same number of leaves and the same greatest leaf thickness.
