Description
Method of operating stunning devices and devices for anesthesia, who administer an anesthetic gas (acetylene) and a nutrient gas (oxygen) Permitted In the case of anesthesia with acetylene, two approaches have been followed up to now. Of the The first was that at the beginning of the anesthesia the patient was given a highly concentrated Let inhale oxygen-acetylene mixture. Solhe then in the further course of the anesthesia the acetylene content is reduced, the acetylene supply was throttled and d: r resulting loss of quantity of the gas-2, em mixture again by increasing it the flow of oxygen balanced in such a way that again the total amount of gas present sufficient to fill the lungs completely. The second way was to do that initially adjusted, highly concentrated oxygen-acetylene mixture simply by increasing it of the oxygen influx diluted. In this case the total amount of gas increased and the excess was removed from the anesthesia mask or elsewhere Vent valve blown off.
Both methods have: the disadvantage that the concentration decreases of acetylene increases the proportion of oxygen in the mixture. This increases on the one hand the danger of explosions, and on the other hand oxygen is consumed in unnecessary amounts; because in and of itself an oxygen content of 200, 'o im is sufficient for blood saturation. mixture off, i.e. a percentage that is roughly contained in the atmospheric air is.
The invention is now aimed at, in no stage of - anesthesia, whatever how high the acetylene content of the inhaled. Gas mixture is the proportion of oxygen the latter over 2o whether to rise to Jassen. This is achieved by starting at the beginning anesthesia, where a high concentration of acetylene is required, the patient a sufficient amount of a mixture for breathing is supplied which contains 20% oxygen and 8o °; e contains acetylene, and that for the purpose of reducing the acetylene concentration this mixture is diluted by atmospheric air. Because the air for its part is about Contains 2o 0.1o oxygen, the consequence is that the oxygen content in the diluted mixture is 2o oio, and the difference from the original The state consists only in the fact that, while in this case 2o oxygen and 80 ° 'o pure Acetylene was present, now with 20% oxygen and 80,000 of a mixture of acetylene and nitrogen (without taking into account other substances contained in the air Gases). The consequence is that the operating procedure is extraordinary is simplified. It can be done at any time on a control valve that supplies the air, the acetylene concentration can be read off. A waste of that in stock retained press oxygen does not occur. because its bottle is constantly only 20%, thus supplies as much as is sufficient to nourish the blood. The total amount of the Gas mixture is increased, so. that a vent valve .must be provided. Of the then: lost oxygen is replaced by the oxygen in the atmosphere. An explosion hazard is among these Circumstances are not to be feared, because in the further course of the anesthesia after dilution of the mixture through outside air, the proportion of oxygen in relation to the proportion of acetylene grows, but the latter is in turn diluted by nitrogen.
Should be the one caused by the dilution by atmospheric air Increase in the total amount of the mixture in whole or in part this can be done if necessary in such a way that during the further Anesthesia the initially. ugled individual amounts of anesthesia, @ -; ases and oxygen, while maintaining the percentage ratio of both, reduced at the same time will.
A suitable device for practicing the method is one in which a storage container for anesthetic gas and one for oxygen is connected in a known manner to a mixing chamber via dosing means, but in which, in a new way, the gas storage containers transfer their contents into the mixing chamber Discharge nozzles that maintain a ratio of 20% oxygen and 3o O / o anesthetic gas with the same setting of the pressure gauges on the gas reservoirs without looking back at the individual quantities flowing through them, the oxygen nozzle being designed as an injector which can be regulated by a throttle element and is connected to a The scale of the readable width draws in outside air.
An embodiment of the device is shown in the drawing. Fig. I shows a diagram of the overall arrangement, Fig. 2 shows a front view of the injector with the scale and Fig. 3 shows a section through the latter. Fig. 2 and 3 are overall larger scale is characterized as Fig. I.
The container i contains the anesthetic gas, which is released from the pressure reducer; n.ül. 2 is dosed in a certain amount after the manometer 3. The gas flows through the pipe a to the economy device 5 and into your breathing bag 6. In the container 7 there is compressed oxygen, the working pressure of which is set by the reducing valve 8 so that the pointer of the manometer 9 is on the same number as on the manometer 3. At! With the same setting of manometers 3 and 9, in addition to the amount of acetylene dosed at the valve, 2o ° 'o oxygen flows through the injector pressure nozzle ii (section 3) fed by the pipe 1o. The suction opening of the injector is closed by a plate 13 provided with only one bore 12. In front of this plate is a second plate 16 which can be rotated by means of the button 14 and is provided with several differently sized bores i 5. If the pointer 17, which is firmly connected to the plate 16, points to 80 ° -o, the bore 12 is closed, so no outside air is sucked in. The gas mixture consists of 8o% acetylene and 2o o; o sanitizer. The latter passes through the conical Injektorsaugdüse 18 in the saving apparatus 5 and the breathing bag 6, from which the patient inhales the mixed gas through the hose 9 and 1 -d-, e mask 2o.
In the illustrated position of the pointer 1 7 to 6o qfo @ contains the gas mixture 6o% acetylene, and .Io ° 'o consist of oxygen and air, which the latter is sucked in from the outside through the second bore 15 connected in front of the bore 12 will. The narcotic effect is compared with the addition of air does not adversely affect pure oxygen.
By a suitable construction of the injectable with reference to the Weibe the suction nozzle 18 and the distance between the suction nozzle and pressure nozzle i i and the resulting suction force, it is possible to the plate 13 with only one .single scale that directly shows the gas concentration at. different due to the depth of breathing, set according to the scales of manometers 3 and 9 Indicates gas quantities. Instead of being shown and describing execution, the throttle body on the injector, the bores 15 can also be in the fixed plate 13 and the bore 12 are located in the rotatable plate 16. Instead of the slabs sanded on top of each other A ground conical tap or the like can also be used. Furthermore, the described device also with gas anesthesia apparatus with rebreathing of the not used gases are used.
