Slidable plungers or bars at the head ends of the railroad cars as protective means
during collisions are known per se. At the older facilities lie
but these beams so that they slide past each other laterally. You will be at one
Collision not pushed back, do not act on the pivot pin and have
not the task of shearing them off.
liegen demgemäß in der Längsrichtung des Wagens.ίο It is also no longer new that the
Car body moved on rollers or rollers over the wheel frame or the latter
moves under the car body so that it is undamaged in the event of a collision
remain. The older device is a longitudinal shift
of the trolley, and accordingly the rollers lie transversely to the longitudinal axis of the trolley on the wheel frame. According to the invention, however
the car body is pushed sideways in a collision, and the rollers
accordingly lie in the longitudinal direction of the car.
The accompanying illustration shows two head ends of railroad cars, where the edges σ are pretty much in the middle. The head is particularly strong, while the rest of the reinforcement is kept significantly weaker than before. In the event of a collision, the wagons do not collide and climb each other, but the two sides & slide past each other. Because of the resistance of the wheel flanges on the rails, this pushing past results in the car tipping over. The ram c, which comes into contact with the wall d before sliding past one another, acts on the pivot pin -e of the wheel chair as scissors and thus separates the wheel set from the car. This will stop the tipping; the carriage slides to one side on the wheel chair. This movement facilitates the roller g, which is synchronized with the carriage axis. As a result of the living force inherent in the car, it rotates through an angle equal to or greater than the angle α. As a result, the car has to look for other support. In order to enable a slow braking of the living force on this support, the roles now take over the work of the wheelset until the car comes to a standstill.
